they are compatible with metal, carbon and self locking plastic Washers. The latter two options make your diabolo lighter but you need to be careful to not pulling them too tight, because it might break. Good video

I’d been trying a different way of wrapping the string with no luck. Your first method is so much easier and I’ve managed to complete it, although it needs to be much smoother. I found a toss, exit and catch a good way to finish it.

On paper it seems as a improvement although would love to know the difference in practice. As I know 3 bearing has previously always been your preference.
